Final Major Project

​When creating my idea for this project I wanted to be able to create a costume and character design that could allow me to bring to life a fantasy creation. In creating this I was aiming to cover the main theme of spreading positivity as many people who see these costumes often find joy in seeing a fantasy creature come to life. I originally started looking at this topic outside of college as it has been a hobby of mine over the past year and I was excited to be able to bring this into my college environment. My main interest in this media is being able to create my own designs and bring them to life in a way that brings both me and those around me joy. The main process of this project is sewing, which has been a lifelong skill of mine and therefore I was excited to be able to carry this forward into my work and develop my skills further. My main source of inspiration has been the artist ‘art by neffertity’ as I have mentioned within my research.
